Days In The Sun calls itself a folk & roots festival, and on paper we might look like the odd one out on that bill — but Rudford’s the kind of place where genre stops mattering the second the bass drops.

We’re on the Main Stage Saturday night, sandwiched between Rusty Shackle and Skipinnish, closing out a day that’s been all fiddles and full bands since one o’clock. Eleven of us bringing horns and dub weight to a field that’s spent all day being gentle about it.

That’s kind of the point, really. Folk and dub aren’t as far apart as people think — both of them are about a room finding its own rhythm together.

Folk all day, dub all night.
